The Unit is directed by a Unit Commander appointed by the participating agencies. Investigators are detailed from partner agencies for renewable terms. Individual investigators are not listed; correspondence about a case is conducted by the assigned investigator only.

Investigators
Sworn investigators of the Unit hold the rank of Detective or Investigator with their home agency. Their names appear on official correspondence together with the field office they are assigned to and the case reference.
